WHY WE LOVE IT!
This is an everyday staple at our home! Buying snacks in bulk was one thing we started to do when we started sending our kids to school— unfortunately, there weren’t always great choices. With one of our kids have lunch all the way towards the last period of the day, I knew I wanted to find something substantial enough to hold her through without starving. We discovered Biena Chickpea Snacks and we were in love! These chickpeas are crispier (not as hard) as others’ we’ve tried and tasted great, without being too salty! My husband works long shifts as a RN and this is one of the staples I pack him as well. A family staple and a family favorite.

Hi there! This is Poorvi, the Founder of Biena. Mom of two and a bonafide snack food junkie.
I created Biena because of the lack of healthy options to support my snacking obsession, all while hustling from meetings to my kids' soccer practices.
I had a vision of the nutrient-packed chickpeas of my childhood becoming a staple snack in the pantries of Americans.
So I rolled up my sleeves and started experimenting with roasted chickpeas in my own kitchen.
I fine-tuned the roasting process to make them light and crispy, all while still maintaining the protein, fiber, and nutrients of a whole chickpea.
In 2012, I officially launched our line of Roasted Chickpea Snacks, at a time when the trend around plant-protein snacks was still in its infancy.
Biena has grown a lot since then, and is creating a whole new category of healthy snacks. As a team of snack fanatics, we prioritized recreating the addicting flavor of our favorite snacks with the best of plant-based nutrition.
