Mochi (Rice Cake) 12.34oz (7pcs per pack) Made in Japan Shelf Stable
$1090
Why We Love It
We took these with us to the airBNB we stayed and pan fried these rice cakes! It was easy to bring along because they were light and individually packaged and shelf stable. We were hooked! Easy to cook and deliciously chewy. We had ours with Rooted Fare’s Sesame Butter (the inside of many Tang Yuans- or glutinous rice balls) and maple syrup.
We are hoping to try it with mango and condensed milk next for a new take on sticky rice and mango. So many possibilities !
About the product
Mochi is a type of gelatinous treat made from a type of rice called glutinous or sticky rice. Made from 100% wet-field sticky rice grown in Japan, Maehara's mochi is a high-quality product that stays fresh for a long time without getting moldy. A great benefit of using this brand of mochi is that it has already been pre-cut into seven pieces that are individually wrapped. This enables you to enjoy one piece at a time while the other pieces stay fresh! Mochi is enjoyable all-year round in a number of dishes, and will definitely be a good staple to have on hand in your kitchen! How to cook this mochi: In Japan, the most popular method for enjoying mochi is grilling it.
