Why We Love This

I love that this is an activity that you can create with,  eat and actually tastes really good! If you’ve had Japanese sodas like Ramune, many of these Poppin Cookin Kits include these soda drinks/flavors as a base in their kits and as part of their ingredients lists.

Often times, we do a DIY craft and then it just sits there, until it collects enough dust to throw out. 

I do like that the packaging is recyclable, however like many candies, there is coloring in the ingredients. However, as a once every few months treat, I would get it it as a rainy day activity, sleepover activity or birthday party favor.

There are step by step instructions to follow along with. My kids can do these kits by themselves. They used to scan and follow video tutorials, but now they are old enough to read it and follow along.  

There’s no age recommendation on the box, however in my opinion, it is best for children ages 9 and up to do independently. Please supervise all children using the kits. My youngest is 7 and can complete it alone (she loves following directions), however I always make sure she is supervised. 

Might be fun for airplane travel, but a little messy because the mix consists of powder.
