Why We Love This
A great touch to fried rice to add another layer of unami, without making the rice mushy. Great to sprinkle on or add to marinate Vietnamese pork chops too.
A little goes a long way for soups too- we only need a touch of this to flavor soup, like Pho, instead pouring lots of fish sauce to add flavor.
We love that it has onto 2 ingredients, anchovy and sea salt and not other weird mystery ingredients we have to look up.
If you’re new to fish sauce, I recommend starting with the liquid version. The smell for fish sauce is strong in general, but I do find this version more concentrated and thus, stronger.
