How can we be more mindful of the gifts and things we buy for our family, friends, community and for use at home? Mindful can mean so many things from being aware of the things we buy; materials they are made of; how they are made; where they are from; the inspiration and story behind them. Being mindful can be shaped with life experiences and can pave way for people to connect in a mindful way with the things we buy, things we eat, play with and share what we learn.

Mamas Got Heart was inspired by Yvonne’s Hopscotch Mom Blog, where she shares “ Tidbits of All Things Family, Children and Education related.”
After becoming mom and raising her own family, Yvonne was inspired to be more green, more mindful of all the purchases she makes. The birthday parties were always fun to plan, but she realized there were so many disposables from the one time use plastic goody bags to the often one time use decorations and toys.
Yvonne created this store to fill with eco- friendlier choices that will hopefully last forever or at least high quality enough to be passed on to another family or friend.
This store will be a journey for her as well, as she continues to research and find gifts and favors that are excellent quality and as eco-friendly as possible! Eco-friendlier party favors have been challenging to find and she is still working hard to add them through time and research.
There is also a collection on Mamas Got Heart that is coming soon and dedicated to Dairy-free snacks. With the many years of doing her own research on what snacks she could feed her kids or send to school, as treats for their class parties, she compiled a decent group of alternatives of dairy-free treats. She will be slowly stocking up on dairy free items in this shop!
